We are looking for a bright and capable team supervisor to join our client’s mortgage enforcements team, based in central Bristol. The team supervisor will be responsible for the caseload of a team, ensuring that work is carried out efficiently and within the relevant service standards.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Manage and supporting the team on a daily basis, closely monitoring work levels and resources within the team, reviewing all cases

• Ensure audit results are communicated clearly

• Produce and analyse various reports

• Identify areas of risk, suggesting necessary improvements and helping to implement them

• Ensure that all team members have monthly performance reviews, involving management when appropriate with any issues

• Attend meetings with clients and management, attending relevant training when required

• Arrange training needs for members of staff, internally or externally

• Hold regular team meetings and appraisals, keeping the team up to date with developments and performance

• Ad hoc duties, helping the team to achieve their goals

It is essential that the successful candidate will have previous experience in collections or recovery, ideally within a mortgage or a regulated financial services environment. This experience would have been gained within a professional services organisation. The candidate will also have previous people management/supervisory experience and a previous background of working within a volume caseload environment. Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential, along with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise own workload. Confident communication skills, including a professional telephone manner will be required and applicants must be client focused with a conscientious, ‘can-do’ attitude.

Technical Support Officer (J5151) – 6 month FTC – Bristol – Salary: up to £19k

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Officer to join our dynamic and growing company, based within Central Bristol. This position is based within one of their busiest departments which is responsible for the sales of those properties which have been reposessed.

This position acts on behalf of the lenders, assisting in the development of a path to enforce their security by possessing the mortgaged property. The Technical Officer will have responsibility for the technical legal output of the team, supporting the Team Supervisor and ensuring work is carried out to the right standard.

• Reviewing all outgoing non-standard correspondence for the team, ensuring that it is of the highest standard including all technical aspects.

• Supporting the team with title and transactional issues, advising clients on the priority of their registered charge, checking freehold and leasehold title and preparing reports on title to clients.

• Liaising with third parties in relation to discount repayment and rights of pre-emption under certain legislation.

• Providing technical support on practical conveyancing issues and legal problems to other members of lender sales.

• Producing various reports in relation to individual client and team

• Identifying any problems being experienced with the IT system and suggest appropriate improvements

• Identifying and managing cases that are outside of standard procedures

• Ensuring that the Team Manager is aware of any cases where that is reason to believe that it may lead to a problem or complaint.

• Be responsible for own caseload of files

• Use Solcase to action workflow entries and produce and amend documents.

• Ensure accurate details of all relevant information for each transaction are maintained on the Solcase database and the file.

• In the absence of the Team Supervisor, take responsibility with the other Case Handlers.

• Attend training sessions as required.

• Drafting additional clause in contracts and transfers to cover specific situations and preparing statements of disclosure

All applicants will be required to have a proven working knowledge of working within a similar position, ideally within a professional services organisation. A sound background within conveyancing is essential for this position with experience in providing guidance to team members on title issues. Applicants will need to also have experience in checking both freehold and leasehold titles to the highest levels and reporting issue to clients, dealing with Right to Buy discounts and rights of first refusal. A high level of familiarity is required with what indemnity policies are available to cover title defects. Candidates must have a strong level of communication and organisation skills for this role, being used to dealing with clients and contacts at all levels.
